Easter is right around the corner and so I thought I would throw out some last minute ideas on what you can do. Above is a picture I took this morning of an Easter Egg kit which I thought was a pretty cool idea. These are only $1.00 at Wally World and this $1 package includes:
- 24 Piece Matching Game
- 72 Easter Stickers
- 6 Egg Stands
- 5 Egg Dye Tablets
- Egg Dipper
- Drying Tray
What you can do is buy enough so that each student in your ministry is able to decorate an egg. Have all the necessary stuff prepared ahead of time like hard boiled eggs (obviously). Also stuff like crayons, cups to dip eggs in and clean up stuff.
Once you’ve gotten everything ready and your students show up, explain to them that you would like them to each decorate an egg about the death and resurrection of Jesus. For more information on egg decorating, click HERE.
Take pictures of the event and have a couple of students share about their egg.
Here are some links that I found for youth ministry Easter ideas:
Group - Youth can always pay and download something from them.
Sunrise Youth Service - Rethinking youth ministry guys speak about their sunrise youth service.
adammclane.com - has some stuff on his page right now about Easter. He actually just got done with a big Easter Egg Hunt!
Grahame Knox -has a cool Easter Egg Extravaganza. Lot of fun stuff to do with eggs.
Tim Schmoyer- shares about a free PEEP trivia PowerPoint.
There is also a fun game that I wrote about a year ago called “Capture the PEEPS” It was a lot of fun.
Here’s another idea: Buy enough PEEPS to stick them all over some-body’s car, take a picture and send it to me. We’ll call it, “PEEP My Ride”.
So what are your ideas for this week?
