This can be a fun youth ministry game or event. Coordinate efforts from all the other youth ministries in your town and hold a massive youth ministry Easter egg hunt. For some reason high school and Jr highers still love to chase after Easter eggs and I’ve done it with both large and small groups and it always is a fun thing to watch.

For the event:

• Estimate how many eggs you will need for example if you picture each kid with 10 eggs then you need to take the total number of estimated students times 10 for how many Easter eggs you will need.
• Decide what to put in the eggs. You may want to leave some empty eggs and then later have a devotion and mention the fact that some of the eggs were empty representing Jesus rising again from the grave. Other ideas to put into the eggs would be crosses, candy, GOSPEL Journey cards by D2S, or maybe have clues to find where the other eggs are at.
• Get enough help. To pull this off with out you going crazy make sure that you have a team of people getting the eggs ready and hiding them ect. If you have multiple youth groups involved just use all the leaders of all the youth ministries to get it done.
• Include an Easter message. I highly encourage you after the fun is done to have a Easter message for the youth. If it’s a city wide youth ministry effort you are probably going to have kids their that don’t know Jesus as their savior so what an awesome opportunity to share the Gospel!

Twists:

• Turn it into a scavenger hunt. Put clues inside for them to find the next set of eggs. Break them up into teams to go hunt for eggs.
• Place eggs all over the city and give each team a riddle or clue to find where they might be.
• GPS coordinates of where the eggs are. Give each team a GPS system and coordinates and have them use the GPS to guide them to the destination where the eggs are.
