one word disgrace
powerful message indeed. The church shouldn’t be against radicals – John the baptist was a radical – however, mr. ignatius here didn’t portray what a radical Christian is, but someone who merely “thinks” he is one. The word, ‘Radicalis’ is originated from a latin word, ‘from the root’ which means ‘Rooted’ which mr. ignatius obviously isn’t.
We become a radical when we don’t merely spend time reading the Bible, we do what it teaches. We don’t merely say “i love you Lord”, we go about telling everyone we brush up against how God loves them. We become a radical when we become truly intimate with Christ, that we walk and talk like Him because we know His heart.
funny funny. I’m sharing this with a few youth ministers.
WOW. This was something! It is unfortunately all too possible if not already in existence. I get the message …….. The trend of trying more to make sure that we engage our youth than to teach God’s uncompromising word leaves ministry vulnerable to this issue, unprepared youth ministry leaders, resulting in a generation of youth that are unprepared to defend their faith (or even understand it).
Way too much. I understand what it is trying to get across but I feel that it paints this message that is is not OK to be unique. obviously this was way over the top but I feel that you don’t need to be the stereotypical untouchable pastor, just not that guy.
The head pastor of our ministry has hair kind of like that, pretty isn’t it? LOL
There is hope, praise be to God.
hilarious!
I thought this was hilarious. Being from Scotland sarcasm is in our blood, so the point was clear from the word go! As soon as the older volunteer “haven’t heard him, but he’s pretty popular” I was worried about how bad he was going to be. Yes, let’s pray to the Lord He keeps us humble, and faithful servants of the Living Word.
Top work my friend.
God bless
I think this is hilarious! It is all of the stereotypes that people have about youth ministry.
i’ve shown this to a few of my leaders, and they all thought it was pretty funny. It was actually one of my students who first found this video. Studies show that around 10% of people don’t “get” sarcasm…so if you didn’t get it, maybe that’s why. It’s just a funny example of the “celebrity-cool-youth-speaker” mentality that is unfortunately too common. I know some guys in ministry that actually look like that…
Wonderful, and you know in today’s society we all get caught up in trying to be cool enough, flashy enough to catch the attention of students but we sometimes fail and getting the message across. Love em Like Jesus and they will come, listen, and know God.
ahah fantastic!!
Oh man, that was good stuff! Let’s hope that none of us ever become “too cool” for the ministry. That was a great example of what could happen. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks – thought there was some out there that did “get it”
loved it!!! It it saying you don’t have to be the coolest to work with youth. All these teenagers are wanting is someone who cares and takes the time to be with them.Yoy don’t have to be cool but you must be open to the Holy Sprit.
Very funny! To the people that did’nt get it, the message is to do youth ministry you have to have love for God and the youth nothing flashy just a sincere heart for serving.
KEEP THIS GUY AWAY FROM YOUR YOUTH GROUP.FIRST THING IS THE BIBLE WAS WRITTEN THAT EVEN A CHILD CAN UNSERSTAND IT. THIS GUY NEEDS TO WORRY MORE ABOUT THE SOULS THAT NEED TO BE SAVED AND LESS ABOUT HIS 70 DOLLAR HAIR STYLE.
hmmm yeah not sure what to say…
i watched your video and please explain to me what the purpose or lesson you were trying to teach. Cause I dont get it
