1. Create a google plus account (don’t worry you don’t have to use it but you may like it who knows) to do this just go to google.com and in the upper left-hand corner you’ll see, “+You”. Go through the process.
2. After you have created your account – stay logged in and then go to www.google.com and do a search for Youth Ministry . You should see my website YouthMinistryIdeas.net on the 1st or 2nd page – please make sure it is my site.
3. Just below the listing you should see a +1  click on that. Congrats you just +1ed. It should be in full color now. Its googles version of “like”
4. Hit print screen on your on your keyboard. You may have to hit shift print screen depending on your keyboard.
5. Open up paint (it should be on your computer as a program) or if you have a better photo editer use that. Paste (Ctrl V) and this should place your screen shot into it. Save it as a jpeg.
6. Once you have done this, email the screen shot to steve@youthministryideas.net – this proves to me that you +1ed it because the plus one should be a different color once you have clicked on it. This is the only way I know that you can prove to me that you actually +1ed it.
7. I will send you the survivorz lock-in.

The long awaited survivorz lock-in! I have done this lock-in a few times now and it just gets better and better!

I wanted to say that I hope that the reason that you are doing your lock-in is to reach students for Christ, so my messages are always focused on that. I have not had a lock-in where nobody raised a hand to ask Christ into their lives.

Prepare 2-3 months in advance if you want it to be great. Get a good team together to make it happen. Get as much stuff done as you can ahead of time so the day of the lock-in isn’t as crazy getting everything set-up. I would highly recommend a lock-in like this to junior high students even though you can do it with high school students too.

Make sure you think through each 30 min. of the night. Don’t forget things like, having money ready for change if you are charging them to come, tickets, training your volunteers on what to do, and being prepared for your talks.
